Loss of Accuracy of Torque Wrenches Due to Clinical Use and Cleaning Procedure: Short Communication

I mplant restorations consist of several components, predominantly connected to the implant by means of screw-nut connections. Biomechanical complications such as screw loosening or fracture occur on a regular basis.1,2 Use of a torque wrench is strongly recommended to help prevent such complications and ensure a reliable, stable connection.3 Hence, the accuracy of torque values, including those produced using a torque wrench after longer clinical service, is of practical relevance.4,5
