Flabby tissue refers to hyperplastic soft tissue associated with edentulous maxillary and mandibular residual ridge reduction. It is mainly found in the maxillary anterior regions of long-term denture wearers. Forces exerted while taking dental impressions in such patients can displace or distort the flabby tissue, making it difficult to accurately record undisplaced anatomical form.
